Surfing is not allowed at Porth while the lifeguards are on duty in season, roughly ten until six — the swell is at Watergate and Fistral anyway. And the blowhole on Porth Island only performs around mid tide with a westerly blowing, so it is worth timing that walk rather than taking it on spec.
